Overview

The Global Startup Support Program aims to foster next-generation entrepreneurs and promote global entrepreneurship among World-OKTA’s emerging startups.

Startups selected as Rising Star Companies through the Startup Fund Management Committee receive various opportunities, including:

• Startup Fund Support established for next-generation entrepreneurs

• Investment Attraction from members and external institutions

• Access to Global Distribution Channels via the World-OKTA network

 

Program Objectives

• Providing early-stage startup support for next-generation entrepreneurs within World-OKTA

 

Program & Rising Star Overview

• Program Name: Global Startup Support Program

• Eligibility: Startups within three years of establishment, founded by graduates of the Overseas Local Trade School or existing next-generation World-OKTA members
  Must be legally registered as a corporation or business entity

 

Rising Star Program Overview

• October: Rising Star Startup Pitching Event held at the World Korean Business Convention

• Selection of participating startups through preliminary screening

• Final selection of Rising Star companies through the pitching event

• Startup fund support and follow-up growth assistance for selected companies

 

Selection of Rising Star Companies

• Preliminary document screening selects five startups to participate in the Rising Star Pitching Event

• October: Rising Star Startup Pitching Event held at the World Korean Business Convention

• Final selection of three top startups, based on:

  • 50%: Evaluation score from the Startup Fund Management Committee

  • 50%: Live on-site voting by attending members

 

Growth Support for Rising Star Companies

• Startup Fund Support for next-generation entrepreneurs

• Investment Attraction Opportunities from World-OKTA members and external investors

• Support for New Distribution Channel Expansion
